Chinese migrants in Prince George B.C.
smashed windows and blockaded the entrance to their dormitory
overnight.
The migrants were among almost
600 Chinese migrants who arrived aboard four decrepit cargo ships
off the B.C. coast last summer.
Many have made refugee claims, and most have been rejected. Those
involved in the blockade are scheduled to be deported.
The trouble began Monday night, and involved about 40 migrants
being held in a dormitory at a provincial jail.
B.C. corrections officials say all is now calm at the jail.
