Twenty-one Koreans were nabbed moments after
they crossed the border into the United States west of Osoyoos,
B.C., Saturday night.
American authorities are calling it the biggest people-smuggling
bust in the area in memory.
The Koreans, including women and children, were taken to a jail
in Okanagan, Washington. They will be transferred to Seattle this
week for processing and deportation back to Korea.
They flew into Vancouver on July 6 as visitors to Canada.
The RCMP were also called to the scene, and searched for suspects
on the Canadian side of the border.
